The Rev. Blake Johnson
Meet with Blake
Blake has served as the planting priest of Holy Cross since its beginning. As a pastor, Blake desires to lead others to find rest and rootedness in Christian faith.
Before entering the Anglican priesthood, Blake worked in his family’s small business as an operations manager and finds lots of similarities between a small business and a new church plant. He has previously served churches in Alabama and Washington, D.C. After graduating with a degree in classics from the University of Alabama, Blake went on to complete an M.A. in classics from the University of Kentucky and an M.T.S. from Nashotah House Theological Seminary.
He is married to Mary Ann, whom he’s known since kindergarten in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where they grew up. They are parents to Eleanor, Owen, and Mary Grace. Blake occasionally enjoys spoiling a good walk by playing golf, getting away to the Gulf Coast with his family, and never quite finishing many books.
The Rev. Keith Breault
Curate (Assistant Pastor)
Keith was ordained to the Anglican priesthood in September 2017 after serving as a pastor within other denominations for sixteen years. He holds a B.S. in public policy from The College of William & Mary and an M.A. in leadership from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also completed chaplaincy training at UVA. He works locally in sales and marketing as well as serving as curate at Church of the Holy Cross. Keith is married to Joanna, a freelance editor, and has five children (four boys and a girl) ranging from elementary to college-aged. The son of an Air Force Pilot, he grew up moving every two years but has felt truly “home” since moving to Charlottesville in 2011. Keith spends his free time relaxing with his family, often immersed in a good book or a game of Settlers of Catan.
